Composite Decking Materials
- TimberTech®:
- Made by the same people that brought us the hula hoop and vinyl siding, they have an engineered tongue and grove (T&G) that will hide all your screw heads and span 24" on center (19.2" diagonal).It may be colored by a oil based stain or paint.
- Trex®:
- The original vinyl decking material. It is safe to span 16" on center and comes in two colors and two dimensions (5/4x6 and 2x6).
- Strandex:
- An engineered decking product with a wood look that fades to a whitewashed look. Works with Simpson® deck board ties for a hidden fastener system with the spacing of wood decking.
Real Wood Decking Materials
- Exterior Wood
- -Alaskan Yellow Cedar: A beautiful yellow wood similar to the surface of Idaho white pine. There are about 30 growth rings per inch, so it is a very dense product. Although not as dense as IPE, it is lighter in color.

- -IPE: This amazing South American Hardwood is able to span 24" on center in a 1x4 thickness. Durable enough to be used on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, this product requires less maintenance than most "no maintenance" decks. It has a natural durability of 25 years plus!We have found that the air dried version of this product is very suitable to high moisture areas like sauna's, hot tubs, boats, and showers.
